Turtle Telepathy?

I've just learned that turtles talk to each other to coordinate when they hatch. How awesome is that?! Life continues to prove that the oldest species may be the wisest.

If I lived in the northeast and owned a bit of the wetlands where bog turtles are known to reside right now, I could get a reward for helping preserve the land; for helping to save North America's tiniest reptile. How cool is that?

Floatilla Protest

There will be a Flotilla to protest harbour dredging in Gladstone tomorrow. The dredging is stirring up bad, old, buried stuff and wreaking havoc in the day.

Pokey isn't sure she agrees with the message of this film, but she thought the storyline was cute, so she allowed me to post it.  Turtles are definitely this clever and persistent.
